Sobre el vídeo de la canción (no figura en la BSO- montaje del usuario): El Gran Gatsby (título original: The Great Gatsby) es una novela del escritor estadounidense F. Scott Fitzgerald publicada en 1925. La historia se desarrolla en Nueva York y Long Island en los años 20 del siglo XX. Ha sido descrito a menudo como el reflejo de la era del jazz en la literatura estadounidense. Muchos grandes directores han querido trasladar este éxito literario a la gran pantalla: La película original, dirigida por Jack Clayton sobre la base de un guión de Francis Ford Coppola estrenada en el cine en el año 1974 y la más actual, dirigida por Bazz Luhrmann, que se estreno en el pasado año 2013, de la mano de Leonardo DiCaprio como actor principal, dando vida al famoso Jay Gatsby, donde cabe destacar la increíble banda sonora en la que se mezcla el Jazz típico de los años 20 y el R&B de la actualidad. Respecto a la novela, a casi un siglo de su publicación, El gran Gatsby conserva la frescura con que fue leída pero el tiempo le ha añadido la profundidad de una obra cumbre de la literatura convirtiéndola en un clásico vivo, dimensión que le fue negada por sus contemporáneos. Gatsby, el hombre que bien encarna el sueño americano, el hombre hecho a sí mismo que oculta su pasado a la vez que crea su propia leyenda, es el detonante de la acción en esta novela por la que vemos plasmarse todo el brillo y la angustia de una época, los años veinte, la época de “la mayor orgía de la historia”, como la llamó el propio Fitzgerald, o de la “era del jazz”.
